HOYLAKE, England (AP) — Jon Rahm did all he could to get himself back into the mix at the British Open. All it required was the lowest round ever at Royal Liverpool in its 13 times hosting the Open.Rahm birdied seven of his last 10 holes for a 63, by two shots the lowest score at Hoylake in the Open. The course was the only one on the modern rotation that had not yielded lower than a 65 until Saturday.Rahm holed a 12-foot birdie putt on the par-5 closing hole right about the time Brian Harman teed off with a five-shot lead. Harman begins at 10-under par. Rahm’s 63 put him at 6 under.Rahm made his move with four straight birdies around the turn. His finish was sharp, too. He chipped to 8 feet for birdie on the 15th, holed a 35-foot birdie putt on the 16th and then finished with one final birdie.WHAT TO KNOW— Harman builds a 5-shot lead at British Open.— Tommy Fleetwood keeps alive English hopes of an Open champion.— Scottie Scheffler and Cameron Smith rally to make British Open...Vangsgaard scores 90th-minute winner as Denmark defeats China 1-0 at Women’s World Cup

With an open goal to aim at, she headed over the bar from inside the area. Vangsgaard was more clinical when her chance came, with a looping effort from deep in the box that bounced before crossing the line. It was a cruel way for China to lose after stifling the Danes with its disciplined defense. Denmark failed to register ...F1 agrees new 5-year deal to keep Hungarian GP on the calendar until 2032

Top Democrats did not indicate this week if a compromise was in reach even as they started to stare down the final few days before their traditional August recess. The longer the state goes without a plan in place, the more it impacts the ability to implement new programs or expand existing ones, said Doug Howgate, president of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation and former senior policy advisor to Senate President Karen Spilka.“There’s a whole lot that goes into how critical or impactful the timing of the budget finalization is to the state’s finances and its credit rating,” said ...Latest news
